Queensland now has some of the strongest water risk management requirements in the nation. As a result of the Public Health (Water Risk Management) Amendment Bill 2016, public residential aged care facilities are now required to develop robust water risk management plans. This aims to help prevent outbreaks of bacteria, such as legionella.
